Matt Raley

Lead Pastor

Matt Raley has been in pastoral ministry for more than 25 years. When he was senior pastor of the Evangelical Free Church in Orland, CA (1999-2011), the congregation started schools, founded an assisted living home for the elderly, and planted a church in nearby Corning. Matt went on to restart Grace Brethren Church in Chico, CA—his hometown. He served there from 2011-2019. The church’s ministries and finances were rebuilt, new leaders were trained, and a home for men recovering from addiction was founded.

Matt studied violin performance at Willamette University (1989-1993), and completed his M.Div. at Western Seminary in 1996. He has been a professional violinist in Oregon and California. He published two books with Kregel: The Diversity Culture (2009) and Fallen: A Novel (2008). He finished his Ph.D. in Christianity and the Arts at Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY in 2017.

Bridget and Matt were married in 1992. She plays cello and electric bass, and has homeschooled their two boys, Dylan and Malcolm. As a family they like movies, exploring new places together, and spending time at the beach.

Brandon & Naomi

Brandon Lee

Youth Pastor

Brandon Lee was born in Trinidad and moved to the states with his family when he was one year of age. Though he was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Church as an adolescent, he strayed from his faith until he decided to recommit his life to Christ in 2017. It was at that time he felt his call to pastoral ministry and found a passion for leading worship, serving the youth, and serving the Church in any way he can. Brandon has a BA in Communication with a focus in Organizational Communication from Villanova University and an MA in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Ohio Cristian University. He has three years of leadership experience at Vanguard where he currently manages a team that oversees their accounting service providers and has been with the company for the last seven years in various positions.
Brandon and his wife, Naomi, have been married for one year and have a daughter, Nora. In his free time Brandon likes spending time with his family, playing guitar, playing board games, and going on hikes.
