VBS 2022!

Thank you to everyone who served in Vacation Bible School last week! Our VBS ministers so well because dozens of people give their time and energy to getting the details right. From decorations to food to music, our volunteers did amazing things last week!

Parents commented to me that their kids cannot wait to come. One young boy spotted the VBS flyer in the mail, grabbed it, and ran to his mom saying, “We have to sign up right now!” I was introduced to many younger siblings who were looking for any weak points in security to follow their brothers and sisters in. (They were all unsuccessful.) Parents were also grateful for the meals children receive and for the barbeque on the porch. The food really helps families!

Final numbers weren’t available at printing time for the bulletin. But it was another strong year. We had around 85 children each night Monday-Thursday. The Peter Powerhouse golfcart project for two families with physically challenged young people was attracting a lot of support. In one night, we raised around $1,700! We will let you know the total for the entire week as soon as we can.
