Claude Good Biography

By Gina Canviri

Many of you have been giving faithfully to the Worm Project for years, but do you know how the Worm Project began? Did you know it was started by Claude Good, who recently passed away at the age of 90 at Souderton Mennonite Homes? The idea for the Worm Project grew out of the experiences Claude and his wife Alice had as they worked with the Triqui people of Mexico for 25 years. While they ministered there doing Bible translation and many other things, they were struck by how many children were malnourished due to parasites. A biography has been written about their time in Mexico and the subsequent founding of the Worm Project. Books to purchase for a donation can be found on the table in the foyer. All proceeds go to the Worm Project.

By the way, TMC donated more money to the Worm Project in 2021 than any other church!! Way to go! Let’s see if we can do that again this year!

Also, please note the table outside of the library displaying books on grief and loss for children. Many of these books were donated by Hayley’s Sunshine Foundation. Hayley’s Sunshine Foundation was started by the Reath family of Souderton following the loss of their 12-year-old daughter Hayley. The foundation seeks to bring sunshine to the grief journey of children that have lost a loved one.
