Career Confidence is a nationwide network helping motivated job seekers streamline their job search. Their mission is to improve individuals’ lives by providing expert job search skills and education while expressing Christian compassion. Since most of their speakers are recruiters and human resource professionals, they are connected to many hiring managers and understand what employers need when looking to hire.
Regular in-person and online video sessions are usually held on Saturday mornings, conducted by experts who provide quality career searching advice. Part of the session includes someone sharing a 10-minute testimony of how they came to know Jesus Christ as their Savior. The testimonies might be related to their job search experience, but don’t have to be.
There are also seminars throughout the week on resume writing, interviewing, and building your LinkedIn page, which features Christian testimonials as well. A Thursday evening session called Encouragement Thursdays allows job seekers to share their concerns and struggles, while others share their faith stories and pray for the individuals attending. The group has the endorsement of the Christian Business Men’s Connection (CBMC) in Baltimore and recently, the Greater Philadelphia area.
Originally based in the Washington DC area, Career Confidence is expanding into the Philadelphia region and other cities. There is a training session to encourage believers to share their testimony with people going through a career transition, held here at TMC on Saturday, November 13 at 9:00am. Several Career Confidence Leaders from different states, as well as local CBMC Team members will be joining us. We invite you to come and learn how to share your love of Jesus with those experiencing turmoil in their lives. For more information on Career Confidence go to www.careerconfidence.org.
